London Hearts Defibrillator Guide

starting1

There are a number of factors to consider, including potential footfall and how easy it will be to access equipment. Any external cabinet will require a power point; this keeps the defibrillator at optimum temperature.

starting6

Whether you need a locked or unlocked cabinet or a simple wall bracket, we're on hand to recommend the best option for you.

starting2

We supply the Mindray C1A, an easy to use defibrillator, ideal for most environments including the home, office and community.

starting3

London Hearts is a defibrillator charity that can provide funding for defibrillators which can go towards the cost of each defibrillator package. For more information, please get in touch.

starting4

Unfortunately, London Hearts isn't able to offer installation, however it can be very cost-effective to ask a local electrician to fit the equipment.

starting5

Whilst we can't determine exactly how long the defibrillator funding process will be for you, once your order is confirmed, we aim to deliver the equipment to you within a matter of days.

Caring for your defib

caring1

One of the most common faults with defibrillators are expired pads. They will display a date on them so that you know when they will need to be replaced. Electrode pads are single use only and have 3 years of life before they expire.

caring2

Ensure your defibrillator doesn't run out of battery at the crucial moment you need it. The Mindray C1A holds a lithium battery with a 5 year shelf life. It’s essential to make sure your device is able to perform its' daily self-checks to remain in a fully working condition.

caring3

The Mindray C1A signals a flashing light and prompts an audible alert if there is a problem, for example, pads not correctly connected, or low battery. We suggest you inspect the defibrillator regularly to ensure the pads are in date, and the battery hasn’t expired.
